Lees Street Amateur Musical and Dramatics society was founded in 1934 with a performance of "The Quaker Girl". The society still rehearse and perform at Lees Street Church Hall Theatre in Openshaw. Our members are of all ages and abilites. We always welcome new members on and off the stage.
Lees Street has also won the NODA (National Operatics and Dramatics association) award for the best little programme for the musical "The Wiz", not just at the regionals but at the national awards too!

The society has members of all ages and abilities.
At Lees Street is doesn't matter if you have never
been on stage before as everyone gets a chance to act,
dance or sing. It's also a great opportunity to meet new
people whilst having some fun rehearsing for a show!

We put on a variety of shows throughout the year.
Plays, Pantomimes, Musicals, Concerts etc..
Our members pay a yearly subsciption which is usually no more than £20 for adults (the price is voted on at the AGM).
Our members are all ages and abilities!
